Jordan and the Nagoya Protocol

Jordan signed the Nagoya Protocol the tenth of January 2012. The instrument for ratification was accepted twelve October 2014 when the Protocol came into force. The Section Nagoya Protocol gives more information on the implementation of the Protocol.

 

Event Biorisk Management Best Practices in Academic Institutions in Jordan Workshop

The Biorisk Management Curriculum workshop will introduce the concept of biorisk management which combines risk assessment, risk mitigation, and performance systems (AMP). The workshop is designed to empower faculty members with the skills, tools, and confidence to establish a sustainable biorisk management education in existing curricula at their university in order to reduce risks from infectious disease in veterinary laboratory and animal facilities.

Workshop Objective:
After attending this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:
•Describe the knowledge and apply the skills necessary to effectively design, implement, and evaluate a curriculum
•Describe curriculum development steps and the importance of congruence among them
•Articulate why systematic approach to curriculum development is beneficial
•Apply brain friendly teaching techniques and integrate teaching styles that that are appropriate for the content; in otherwords, model appropriate teaching of the content.
