The aim of the workshop is to familiarize participants with the understanding, goals and basics of the farmers' field schools, in addition to determining the role of the agricultural facilitators in the management and formation of schools, as well as discussing the plan of action and the launching of schools in the targeted governorates
The National Center for Agricultural Research and Extension (NARC) will hold a training workshop on Field Farmer Schools in the context of the Rural Economic Development and Employment Project implemented by the Jordan Economic Development Corporation (JEDCO) and financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The purpose of the workshop is to familiarize participants with the understanding of farmers' field schools, their objectives and the basics of their implementation, as well as determining the role of agricultural facilitators in school administration and formation, as well as discussing the plan of action and the launching of schools in the targeted governorates (Balqa, Jerash, Ajloun, Madaba and Mafraq).
The project coordinator, in the national center, Eng. Haitham Hamdan, said that the two-day workshop will be attended by more than 35 agricultural guides representing all the targeted areas within the project.
